Tesco Home Shopping Delivery service

Options
Hi all the first time I've had a moan!

Here goes-
So I ordered my shopping online at the weekend and asked for delivery today between 6-8pm.
Rushed home from work at 5.50pm to be greeted by my daughters (nearly 16 and nearly 13) and told that he had been and gone and had my youngest to sign for everything.
Checked the list and found over £15 worth of frozen food (my lamb chops for tonight!) missing. Rang up and was told they would be refunded - great so I get to go to the shop to buy them again then!! and they refunded half the service charge.
As for the fact that they had a minor sign for the goods - oh he will tell the manager - just like what was too happen last time he did it!!!!!

Really not happy

GGGgggggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    Hi,
Had my first problem with Tesco tonight myself. (Used them 8-9 times before with no probs)

Nothing major really, just far more substitutions than normal. And they didnt have the Beer I ordered  , which took the total spend below £50, so my £10 e coupon was not valid.(Cant complain about this one. Got the code from this site :D )

On the plus side, I received a pack of 8 chicken breasts (Value £7) and a tin of curry that we never ordered and we have not been charged for.

So it all seemed to level out in the end :D

    Regards

This isn't right. Got a tesco shop delivered yesterday and they didn't have some things I wanted so shopping came to about £39 and I still got my £10 voucher taken off. Total bill: £29.
What did I do at work before I discovered MSE?!

DFD - WAS: a while ago

NOW - not sure, due to boyfriend going back to uni for masters and now pgce. Worth it in the long run!
Proud to be dealing with my debts!

I use £10 off £50 shopping vouchers all the time and when they dont have some items, i always get the £10 off still even when its under £50.I would ring up and complain. It wasnt your fault they didnt have the goods you ordered.

Thanks for the advice sloppy chops, however because I use the e coupons posted on this site, I dont wish to complain and make a big fuss of it all, as I am not "officially" supposed to use them. I think if I complain, they may ask for a copy of the email they "sent" with the coupon on it, which I cannot provide and I dont want to jeopardise using these coupons in the future.

    regards

    2 complaints with home delivery

    1) When they substitute, I thought you would get charged the lesser amount.
    2) Often fridge stuff has to be used within days
    3) Fresh veg and fruit can be the stuff you'd never pick yourslef.

    OK it turned into three:o

I'm sure some one could do a business in going shopping for people.

 Have one of mine, beers that is:D

Dont see what you've got against your 16 year old daughter. Most people are responsible enough at that age, just aren't given the right rights. Would you have checked every item off the list before signing it?

I had my Tesco shopping delivered today but when I was unpacking I noticed lots of products missing. I rang the number on the delivery invoice and explained and the lady rang the driver while I was on hold, she said the driver had my shopping on the van but wouldn't be able to get back to me today.
She refunded the delivery charge, arranged for it to be delivered tomorrow morning AND refunded all the goods that I hadn't received today £16.83 :j
She also sent me a confirmation email within a few minutes of getting off the phone.

We had one of those, went on for 5 days, shop blamed centre and centre blamed shop. It was only one bag the guy hadn't got out of the van. I laugh now.:D

Tescos drivers are not allowed to leave a delivery with a minor. They use think 21 - if the person looks below 21 then ask for ID, if not avaliable then they are not allowed to leave the shopping with them. This is regardless of whether it has alcohol or cigarettes or whether you have substitutions. They are just not allowed to leave it, if they do this is classed as gross misconduct and they can be dismissed for it.
