Phone warranty question
OK I took out a new contract with T-Mobile in Septemberish time and a few of the buttons on my phone K550i stopped working just before xmas.
Anyway I sent it off to Sony Ericson repair centre and 5 weeks later I got a letter saying it is beyond economical repair due to liquid damage! My phone had not been anywhere near water althougth when it broke I was outside in the freezing cold so may have been condensation!?
Been on the phone to both t-mobile and sony ericsson now. sony say there is nothing they can do because of the cause of damage but I can get a 2nd opinion if I want! T-mobile say this is not covered under their warratny so their solution is to buy a cheap phone. I've said to them this is their repsonsibility as my contract is with them and I am not getting what I am paying for. If I cancel my DD they will get the debt collection onto me. There is no possible way it can be liquid damage so I get teh feeling they don't know the reason and ahve just used this to get out of replacing it?
Currently waiting for a supervisor to phone me back but am not happy with t-mobiles idea of a resolution.
any advice much appreciated.
thanks.
