are you looking after her and does she claim a middle rate or higher of dla?
if so, then you can claim carers allowance and do a few hours work on top.
if not, then unless you are working or looking for work then i don't think tou will be entitled to anything.0 -

You may be able to claim a small amount of Council Tax Benefit, although it is possible that you living there will mean the income is too high for this. You can apply for this through your local council.
TBH I think that with the income that you have coming in, you really need to look at budgeting, as people do manage on a lot less. If you go over to the Debt Free Wanabee board, you can post your incomings and outgoings and they will do what they can to help you.Gone ... or have I?0 -
You are not able to claim anything even tax credits as your wages are too high.
Carers allowance you can only claim if you earn no more than £89 a week after tax and NI. And look after her for 35 hours a week or more. And has been said is getting middle and higher rate care DLA.
Does your mum claim DLA if is is disabled?
Not sure what you mother means by being 25% disabled and who told her that. Personally to me you are either disabled or not.
If you have debts get over to the Debt Free Wannabe board and post a Statement of Affairs (list of income and outgoings) and they will pick through it for you and help you.

Perhaps you have different circumstances Jarvissa? I too thought that it was more, but I have checked the HMRC website and that states that the OP would not qualify.Gone ... or have I?0
