Hope you get it sorted out

No a Virgin Sim will work in any unlocked phone i use one in my spare phone, which was on 02. Possible the sim lock data was damaged by whoever unlocked it?0

Hey,
How was the handset unlocked? Did you obtain a subsidy pin from T-Mobile? Or did you get it done elsewhere?
In what way do you mean the sim won't work? Does it just now register, or can you just not use some of the features?
Unfortunately, although most of the time an unlocked handset will work with most other networks' sims, it cannot be guaranteed that it will work 100% of the time with every sim: sometimes it just doesn't. You would need to try another network sim card in it to double check whether the handset has just not been unlocked correctly, or whether it's just rejecting your virgin sim.I accept no liability if you chose to rely on my advice.0 -
If it was locked to T-Mobile a Virgin SIM should work without the handset being unlocked. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

i bought the phone on t mobile and unlocked it using free software on the internet. i tried my o2 sim card in it and it worked.
i sold it unlocked/sim free but included the t mobile pay as you go sim card in case it was wanted. someone with a virgin sim card bought it and said that their virgin cim card isn't being accepted:
"Phone arrived today but it is a tmobile phone WITH a sim and is NOT unlocked. It wont accept my daughter's virgin sim card. Have you sent the wrong one?"
i explained that it was on t mobile but i unlocked it and checked it before sending. I told them to return the phone, i have now got it back. it still works fine with my o2 sim card. it also works fine with the t mobile sim card.
so i am now a bit confused. buyer is now expecting a refund, but as far as i can tell the phone is unlocked and as described.
any ideas?0
