What's wrong with a bit of shameless bragging, anyway?
I made ace dumplings in the soup for tea(I hate them, but the boys scoffed loads) and also victoria plum jam sponge. SOup was good, left over turkey broth from Christmas."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Yes, handbaking is so satisfying. I've just taken 4 loaves out of the oven and despite the fact I do it twice a week I never fail to get a whoosh of mother's pride from baking my own bread. I don't think my family appreciate how lucky they are.0 -

Stop it you hand bakers you're all making me jealous! So... who wants to come round to make me some hand kneaded bread?
And I do occasionally knead it in the breadmaker and then bake in the oven especially if I'm making home made rolls to eat with my ham and pea soup!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Well done Webitha!
Only started making yeast bread last year but don't like the stuff that comes from my BM...started just making the dough and cooking in oven but lately I have been doing it all by hand and the bread is turning out so much better...even OH eats it and he normally dislikes anything that doesn't cost the earth and have lots of additives!
