Broadband speed for £25 per year!

Has anyone tried onspeed, a fasterway to download at broadband speed and not at broadbank prices. I have yet to try. details from https://www.onspeed.com

Not advisable for those downloading pictures

The only items that change are images. The compression algorithms strip out a pre-determined amount of colours and pixels (the components that make up image files) to reduce the size of the image, which in turn, reduces the overall amount of the information being sent.

So basicly it's going to reduce the quality of the image

However, ONSPEED will not accelerate certain files such as MP3, Mpeg, EXE and streaming video these files will pass through our servers without being accelerated

And in otherwords, all the files you 'actually' want to download quicker, won't... so basicly for £24.99 a year, you can download a webpage about 2 seconds faster ???

Personally I'd pass, even with dialup unless your downloading a load of pictures your not really going to benifit and even then it's a tradeoff against quaility which is usually already quite low.

Just another one of them programs that sound good to people who don't know much about computers.
