I'm on plus.net PAYG for £14.99 a month as well. Would recommend them. No problems what so ever. Payment comes off my credit card each month. You can see you're monthly usage online. If you go over the basic 1GB then they'll add the extra charge to your bill. You get an email notice that they're going to take the money from you. Very simple.

Customer service is very good too.

Not sure if they still do the referral thing too - but I'm sure if an existing Plus.Net subscriber recommended you (send an email via the PlusNet referral site) then they get something off - only 25p/mo on the base package or something, but rather in someone's pocket other than Plus.Net eh ? :D

Yes they still do the referral thing, one of the earlier posters has already PM'd me about doing it for them and I'm quite happy to do it. Savings all round...and thanks for further info sor_fes2
No reliance should be placed on the above, as i don't believe anything i say either...

I can vouch for them. I've been on the 2mb Premier account for almost a year with no problems. Even better that they recently reduced the fee from £40 per month to £21.99!!! I download approx 70gb per month and never have any problems.
  • There's absolutly no doubt, the best ISP you can go for, and there's
NO USAGE CAP for £14.99 pacakage, I signed up a month back, excellent service, and good customer care.

plus.net was rated the best ISP in uk by "which" guide, an online review centre, and they r to the point. it is a great service to go for

I doubt there no suage caps, I was with them paying £29.99 last year and that was claimed as unlimited accept it wasnt unlimites when it suited them, couldnt wait to leave them. Plusnet have a reputation now of moving the goal posts when it suites them, see adlsguide for numerous complaints. I went to Zen because that is truely unlimited brillianyt for service, yes it costs more but I much rather pay more and get a solid 100% service.

Adlsguide customer voted Zen as one of the top, this is customers not magazines view.

    How about this comparision

No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you

The 14.99 package from Plus.net does not have any usage caps, BUT they use connection shaping to give priority to Web and email traffic at peak times, which means that P2P could suffer.

I'm thinking very seriously about Plusnet but my only serious reservation is that although their Broadband Plus (£14.99) Service has no usage cap it does operate a priority service. As someone who enjoys listening to streaming radio from the US and availing myself of the various available torrent sites does anyone here have any first-hand experience of whether this will be affected - i.e. low priority and consequently low speed.
