Not a bad idea, just state that the default is in dispute. Then if there are any checks, it is flagged up.

I have spoken to my bank manager who is a really nice guy. Had many dealings with him in the past. He said its awful that this happened and this is why my online loan application has been rejected (just three wks ago). He said he will remove this application as if it had never happened and also the check. He also said he will contact me in a month's time to see if I have updates, hopefully by then all will be sorted. And then he said he will redo the application for me and make sure i get it as all my other records are good, no arrears, positive balances, ok salary etc... so thats good news!

sent off my letter to Lowell. Lets hope i hear from them soon, i will post it there.

But anyone else had dealing s with them? why do these agencies behave like this? why are they so rude? Why dont they help? after all i was the innocent partyand yet I have to pursue them ??

    I opted for B.

You should have opted for A. It would have made you feel better.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

Hahaha. I know. I know! But a wise man once said, dont waste your time in giving opinion or criticism unless you are 100% sure that you will get the message through (ie, the recipient will listen). I very much doubt this would have been the case here. At leats i have the moral high ground now. (even tho moral high ground against these scums is not very hard to achieve...)

and you know what I feel good that I wrote it down to you guys. I am always very happy when someones replying :)

I must post on at least half a dozen Lowell threads a week; one day last week, there were four running at the same time and I ended up posting a response to one on another thread.

The standard of staff that you encountered seems to be par for the course. There are a number of other similiar DCAs around. In a number of cases they have either got people who do not owe the money to pay up, or are making repeated very carefully crafted suggestions of dire consequences to people who are old and or vunerable.

Thank you! they are really awful. how do these people look into the mirror in the evening? they make people cry! no matter if its an innocent person or a person in debt nobody deserves to be talked to like that. what an awful awful bunch of people. who are they to talk to me like that? miserable sad people without lives... maybe in debt themselves.... cant believe these companies still exist.

went to lowells corporate website, if you want to look at it please do, www.lowell.com, what a bunch of lies, about good, professional service.. these people are so sad.

    Hi smashedbooboo :)

Well I sent off my letter instructing them to remove the default. I made a mistake of signign it, but I guess its ok since T Mobile confirmed that they ahve deleted "my" account so lowell will have no grounds to pursue me.

    Now two things can happen:

1.) they remove the default. (gosh if this was this smooth...)

2.) they misplace the email and claim they never received anything, dont do anything. What do I do then?

3.) they mark it as settled instead of removing it. I dont want that!!!!

Surely they have to reply to my letter and give me a fully reply right?
Should I call them today and find out if they ahve received the letter?

And another question, when I asked them why they searched my credit file, they said "we searched it so that we find out where you have ran away to!" now this, as much as being bloody offensive, it means searched to find out where i live. is this legal? can they do it? Dont I have to authorise all searches??
