I fell off a wall at primary school (20 years ago) and cut my head open. To add insult to injury, the hospital that stitched me up didn't do the job properly so I was left with a (very tiny) scar on my forehead. What's this company's number, I want my compo!!!0

seems like most people agree with me then. when I was a child, my scars were trophies. whats is the world coming to?:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0

If it wasnt for these sorts of adverts, what else would us british commonfolk have to moan about??
Really if these types of things wind you up then just change the channel/ turn off the tv...even if its only for 10secondsSmile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -
My daughter broke her arm in 2004 on a kids climbing frame on a caravan park site we drove down there from Yorkshire to Cornwall only been there for 30 minutes.
I didnt even think about suing the site and glad I didnt it was her fault but it was down to her medical problem we didnt know until 2006 that she had poor balance0 -
My eldest daughter, in year 11 at the time, had an accident while doing PE. The teacher had the kids in the sports hall, playing rounders or something similar. DD was running and went a bit too wide and collided with the trampoline which was folded, uncovered, against the wall, putting her hand out to save herself. Unfortunately, because there wasn't a cover on the trampoline, her finger got caught on one of the springs and was ripped open.
She needed 17 stitches and physio to regain use of the finger, but we didn't try to claim! Accidents happen!0 -

I don't think it is so much the actual adverts which annoy people so much as the mindset they encourage. It's as though an accident can't happen any more!
I can even kind of understand how this culture has built up in the States - without nationalised health care people actually end up suffering financially from these kinds of accidents and could easily be forgiven for wanting restitution, but with the NHS stitching up our youngsters whenever they need it, claiming shouldn't really enter the equation unless there is clear negligence or stupidity on the part of a responsible party.0 -
My 4 year old tripped over a drain cover which was missing and and had over 3" high cracks around drains, i took him doctors got elbow looked at and phoned a No win No fee, who said that the council now has 21 days to reply. Ive reported this problem to council yonks ago due to the fact that i drive over the cracked drain while backing out of car park. Its now been over a week and still no sign of repair there so i hope my claim goes through to actually get someone to do something about this drain.0

I have my two year old grandaughter staying with me at the moment. She is showing anyone who will listen a miniscule scab ,of about two millimetres long,on her knee .
Finally I have found someone who will treat this with the seriousness it deserves...0 -

Bullsh!t...
You claimed to get cash - nothing more nothing less.
Don't pretend you are claiming for the greater good of mankind.
If I had fell over when I was a child, mother would have dabbed some TCP on it, bunged a sticky plaster on and send me back out to play and told me not to be so clumsy and watch where I am walking.0 -
When my brother fell over in Tesco's many years ago and bumped his head when he was 5 and I was 8, the manager gave us both a huge bag of pick n mix and any toy we wanted from the toy department.
That seemed to sort us out fine0
