Cheapest Heathrow Car parking

Dear all
I am flying out of Heathrow Terminal 3 on 28th Feb (flight time 21:00) and coming back on 10th March (Flight time 17:00). I need to park my car for this time.
I could not find anything cheaper than £55. Last year it cost me £35 for the same at purple parking.. Any ideas where I am going wrong?
Thanks in advance..

Don't think you are going wrong. Cheapest I can find is Purple at £54.36 via www.bcponline.co.uk using code bn221 which is slightly cheaper than purple members price on purple site.
Prices seem to have gone up a lot since xmas. I got hotel + 15days for £59 before xmas but Feb is going to cost £72 just for parking for us.0 -
Go to www.purpleparkinguk.co.uk and enter the code 'TIPO' into the Source Code box and the price comes out at £31.98 for your dates. Also, go through Quidco for 10% cashback. This space has been intentionally left blank0

Can you use Tesco deals. We used this last year and paid a very small amount0

Do what I always do - drive to a tube station close to Heathrow ..let's say Boston Manor,Osterley or Hounslow and find a quiet suburban street with no parking restrictions ( normally within a five minute walk of the station )
Park your car and Bob's your Uncle ... all you pay is the Tube Fare.
The times you're flying means you're gonna avoid the worst of the rush hour and don't worry ...it's London and most people don't even know their own neighbours so they're not going to notice a car.
By the way - the same trick works at Gatwick - park in the nearby town and either catch a bus or taxi back to the airport.
I haven't paid an airport parking fee in London for 15 years.
And before anyone spouts off - this IS a money saving website after all !0 -
I agree with Nobjocki - park near the airport and either get the tube/bus or order a taxi.
Of course, if you don't want the hassle and have lots of luggage it is definitely worth phoning around your local mini cab companies to see how much the taxi fair is to take you all the way. If it costs £55 for parking, and £30 each way by mini cab I would always go for the cab. They will drop you right at the door of the airport without the extra 15-20 mins getting the shuttle bus from the car park to the airport.
Also, try what we do now - ask a relative or friend to give you a lift! We have a reciprocal deal with my in-laws that they give us a lift to/from the airport and we do the same for them when they go away - it costs us next to nothing!£25,040 of credit card debt cleared!
Debt free as of July 2013! Now working through my mortgage!0 -
Thanks monkeyspanner, Glenn, Ken and Nobjocki!
Glen, special thanks for your code.. I've booked with purple parking now...
I like the ideas from Ken and Nobjocki. However, with a 1 year old, 2 large suitcases and a wife (worse;-) bus might be a bit difficult..
Plus the car would have no security... Also I don't know what the tube fare would be for us as we don't have Oyster cards... any idea?0 -

Glenn that's a brilliant code any idea of its origin?
And Tesco deals definitely no longer available.0 -

Leave the wife, kid and suitcases on a trolley at the airport and tell them you'll be back in an hour.
You're gonna have to do that anyway if you don't want load them all onto the bus taking you from the car park back to the terminal.
Find parking space.
The tube is 4 quid for a single journey for one.
Unless it's an expensive sports car the chances of it being broken into on a quiet residential street are slim especially if it's alarmed.

I did a Google search a couple of years ago for discount codes for Purple Parking. I think it may be something like Travel Industry Professionals Organisation. I can't really remember to be honest! I've used it about 4 times and it has always cut the price in half.monkeyspanner wrote: »Glenn that's a brilliant code any idea of its origin?
