ok the seller responded to the paypal thing..to the effect of check at the post office

he also responded to both my earlier ebay messages saying comp problems?? and when did i pay...i replied and he says he will send another

sinse he has 99% feedback on 1450 items should i see if that comes....does it matter he promised to send another via ebay messages not paypal?

don't close the dispute until you either get a replacement or a refund

Unfortunately according to the Op the seller does not respond to email enquries and I would have thought that very few sellers would risk surface mail anyway due to the chargeback problems when delayed.
some sellers may cash in on this due to some people not knowing paypal fully before using it, ie, new users. if they claim 2 send surface they know it takes ages... keep the buyer hanging past the 'dispute' date. then the date passes and buyer cant lodge a dispute...

so now the dispute is open is there a time limit for when i can still claim? its approx 25 after purcahse now...and i have to give it a good 2weeks for the replacement

i dont want him to string me along until its too late to claim...although his feedback suggests he's genuine with the odd hic up/trouble maker

if you have still had no response i would escalate it to a claim asap.

if a replacement does turn up you can cancel the claim.
