&More offered me 0% balance transfer

I phoned up my M&S &More today to see what balance transfer offers they had at the moment and was very pleasantly surprised to hear that I could have 0% for 6 months.

I made sure I got the name of the lady who told me as previously I couldn't get a better offer than 9.9% no matter how hard I tried.

I don't know if this is because I had recently cleared the card as I have been an existing customer for almost as long as the card has been in existence.

This is without a fee as well so its pretty good.

I telephoned &More this morning and the first offer was 3.9% life of balance, to which I said no thank you. I then phoned again and managed to get 0% for 6 months and an increase in my credit limit.

I was very surprised as they always quoted me 9.9% whenever I had asked them and wouldn't back down on that so could hardly believe my ears when they said 0% for 6 months with no prompting.

Yes, phoned them last night and got 0% for 6 Months. I have had two previous 0% for 6 months periods off them, When I asked them a few months ago I was only offered 9.9% for 6 Months which I declined. I have never made a purchase on this card !

I phoned M&S about a month ago to ask if they could offer me any new BT deals. Not only did they offer me 6 months 0% but upped my credit limit too.

This came about one month after my previous 6 months 0% BT deal ended.
    Bank Charges Claimed: 180

    Debenhams card: 600 now paid
    Littlewoods: 100 now paid

I had an offer from & More which ended at the end of April. Following from this web-site, I 'phoned them today and got a a balance transfer straight away!
A big thank you from me.
  • I've had this card since it was first issued. I've never purchased anything with it but save it for BTs, as I seem to receive letters offering 0% every 3mths or so after clearing the previous transfer. This is certainly one of those cards to hang on to, espeacially if you never shop with it; M&S seem determined to get business from you anyway with these 0% offers.

When did you get the card? I got mine in July 2003 and I don't think they have ever offered me anything since then till now that I got offered the 0% balance transfer.

I used to use the card as my spending card though, I wonder if that has anything to do with it. As soon as the 6 months are up, I will pay back the card in the hope they offer me another 6 months at 0%.
  • Does anyone know if there are any Credit Cards out there that do not attract a late payment fee? Had one from HSBC a long time ago but they charge now.
Hope I posted this in the right area?
