What Provider to go to for basic Nokia
Options
My husband has a Nokia 5210 on an Orange PAYG contract. However his phone is a bit nackered and he wants something similar. He is looking for a similar phone on a monthly contract ( he uses about £25.00 per month on PAYG) and wants to keep his number. I used The Mobile Outlet for my sons contract last year and he is taking them to court for cashback. Therefore a good deal rather than cashback would be preferable. Any ideas?

To keep the current phone number you need to call up the current provider and ask for a Porting Authorisation Code (PAC). This stays valid for 30 days. You then pass this PAC onto the new provider, tell them who the current provider is and with a few days the number will port over.
I suppose it depends on who your husband calls.
Vodafone have an add-on called Vodafone family for £5 per month you can have 4 numbers or £7 for 6 numbers, you then have unlimited calls between these people. Only one person has to pay the £5 or £7 and all have to be with Vodafone, and any of you can call the other for free (each call for up to 60 mins, just hang up and re-dial if you want longer free time).
You can add Vodafone family to either a contract or PAYG.
T-Mobile have a MyFaves tariff where you can select 5 numbers and get unlimited calls and texts to them, though call rates outside the low inclusive calls are high.
T-Mobile have their Flex tariff too.
O2 seem to have a few tariffs that look good.
Have to say can't really see any that impress me anywhere other than Three or having Vodafone family and others on Vodafone.
http://threestore.three.co.uk/mixnmatchtariff.aspx?tariff=0It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0
