And us, plus water too :T £300 to float the accounts, should help a lotNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130

I didn't realise water could be done over 10 months..... will have to look out for that when the renewal comes! Not that it would make a huge difference, ours is only £5 pm atm anyway!'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0

I have no idea..... we've been here nearly two years and it took them 9 months to send us the first bill....we paid then asked to pay by SO, which they set at £23. Roll on 6 months and we get another bill saying we were £55odd in credit. I called them to ask them to send me a cheque, but they adjusted the SO instead.... which is now £5 till the next bill comes
Then we'll probably owe them!?!

I dont know hun - you dont want to call them, in case you're not paying enough. The new bills will be out in the next month or so, maybe that will explain things
I'm not metered. I often wonder whether it would be cheaper, but then I watch my 2 keeping the tap running etc and bottle out :rolleyes:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

We're actually pretty good..... the only real thing is that OH like to keep the tap running when he brushes his teeth! We both have showers, and DS only has one or two baths per week - he gets in the shower with Daddy the rest of the time. I think one thing that helps is that we have Econ 7, so we can't 'afford' to fill a bath, otherwise thats all the hot water gone for the day! I have even put small drinks bottles filled with stones into our slimline cistern - the LL would laugh if he saw that!'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0

We get Feb and March off our council tax :T Money's going to be put aside for this quarters electricity and gas bills - we're waiting until Martin says to swap then we're swapping on monthly direct debits, we had lots of problems when we moved in so paying bills was easier.
We have a water meter here and pay monthly over 12 months on a budget plan thing (Yorkshire Water) so no free months for us but it took them 6 months to get things sorted (new build property) so we're paying off 6 months arrears this year so payments will reduce in the summer.
Sarah - how old is the property - new builds in the last 5 years ago or so have had them and some areas they came round and put them into every house anyway. The last place we rented had one and it was in our contract when we moved in that it was there and the serial number for the meter. I'd ring the water board and ask in case you get a massive bill when you move out.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000
