Remember No council tax payments in Feb/March

I have just been doing my monthly budget for Feb, and whilst I post on peoples SOAs, I have just realised  their is no council tax in Feb/Mar ,instantly £147.00 a month better off in Feb/March:j.

I supposed I had better clear the credit card bill that landed on my doorstep this morning for £290.(0% may I add).

It it is for 0%, then leave it - put the money away somewhere else.

Good Idea ZTD, I have a saving account at 6.5%, I'll shove it in there, I have no debt other than the mortgage and thought I may as well clear this, but if I can make money, I may as well, I must keep remembering not all Debt is bad debt.

It's both Feb and March hun, unless you've asked to pay over 12 months to reduce payments. It also applies to water rates ;)

It is Feb and March assuming that you pay your council tax over 10 months and not 12 months.

  • :T Feb and March are the reasons I keep my council tax over 10 months instead of 12..... don't tell my OH tho! I'll still be taking his half from him, but putting it towards his CC bil instead!

Thanks ZTD - you've just helped me too! I have a cc with 0% until 09/08 and was going to start paying next month at £500 pm and clear it in next 6 months, but will now put in my high interest savings account (as well as my council tax and water rates for Feb & March) and pay off when due. :j

    Cheers

Yes Feb and March. I pay water rates to 2 companies - one to bring and one to take away... one of these is paid over 8 months and the other 10 months... most odd but helpful!
