    Hiya :)

Normally we leave the thread listed in place - but what happens if we've moved the thread is that the link in Old Style takes you to its new home.

Unfortunately this is not the "default setting" in our Board Guide's tools - so it looks like whoever moved it forgot to click on the "leave marker in place" box. Sorry about that :)

Also:- we generally don't PM people about moves these days (since we can leave the thread marker in place) but post into the thread so that you'll see a post when you click on your link. It's quicker and easier when nowadays the board is much much busier than it used to be - and it makes sure that any other readers and contributors to the thread also see that it has been moved.

Note:- There can still be some confusion if your thread has been moved (added) to the Daily, even if we've left the marker, because the system links you to the start of the thread you've been added to rather than to your own post(s). Nothing we can do about that - sorry.
Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Board guides are not moderators and don't read every post. If you spot an inappropriate or illegal post then please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com. It is not part of my role to deal with reportable posts. Any views are mine and are not the official line of MoneySavingExpert.

ok im thick i know but where would i get amonia from?? sorry to be a pain!

Boots have a range of basic house cleaning stuff - soapflakes, borax, ammonia, etc. My DH informed me this evening that the fumes can make you go blind. Hmmm. I'm going to have to double-check that as he likes to pull my leg a bit! They are powerful though.

Anyway, today I cleaned the oven in the new house and it's sparkling like new (well it was new a year ago apparently!)
