My thread disappeared

did I do something wrong or offend somebody? I got a notification that Pigpen had replied to it, but there was nothing there when I clicked on it.

I was called "I need a rant". I started it last night. Can't find it in my subscribed threads anymore either so I must really have offended somebody, though I don't know why. It would be helpful if a reason could be given for pulling threads instead of it just being done with no explanation.
  • found it!!
its been merged into yesterdays daily!
you normally get a pm when mods do that though?

I can't take credit for the ammonia idea as it was on a thread about the best way to clean an oven. Basically what you do is put some ammonia in a cup (she said a cupful but I didn't use that much) put it in the oven and leave it overnight. Next day use a little bit of elbow grease and all the gunk which you thought was impossible to remove just slides off. Also you can put the trays, etc in a black bin liner, pour in some ammonia (again she said a cupful but I used a couple of tablespoons) tie up and leave overnight. Even the grill pan looks brand new now! You have to be careful of the fumes as they hit you like a brick when you open the oven/bag and make your eyes water but there are no nasty chemicals to have to clean off the oven. I must admit I was a bit sceptical before I tried it and was AMAZED!!!!
  • ok im thick i know but where would i get amonia from?? sorry to be a pain!

Justamum, if you click on your username, a drop down menu appears. Choose 'find more posts by...' and your previous posts will appear. Then you can click on them to find them. Chatty things (like needing a rant) will usually go to the daily thread which is specifically for support and general chat.
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.

Or you can click on usercp at the top of any page which takes you to all your subscribed threads whether they've been moved or not. ;)
