Valencia could still be relegated. They have had a spectacular fall from grace this season, mainly due to them having the worst home record in La Liga. Today was their 9th home defeat.

Getafe are having a decent season. They have drawn at Barcelona and won at Real Madrid in the last few weeks. Amazingly, Valencia are 7/5 on Betfair to win, Getafe 9/4 and the draw 9/4. I think it's a couple of quid on Getafe for me.

Even better, I shall be in Spain for the final, but not in Madrid. Our game to attend next week will be either Murcia - Mallorca or Elche - Salamanca. (I doubt i'll get away with both;) )

    Enjoy Valencia!

Looks like we could make this thread into a discussion on Spanish football clubs!

You must be down our way in Murcia/Alicante?

With a bit of luck, Elche could get to La Liga next year.

Our local club (Mazarron) is in Segunda 'B' (for the first time in 75 years!) and had a great first half, but have collapsed since Christmas. Looks like they'll be returning to the Tercera next season now.

We are near Guardamar. When in Spain we try to get to Torrevieja games. They are in the Tercera and have excellent attendances for that level, mostly expat. They have had problems this season, having just missed out on 2B last season. We will not get to see them on this visit unfortunately.

We have seen Elche this season when they won 1-0 at Hercules. I don't think they will get promoted, they would struggle if they did!

I had high hopes for Real Murcia this season. We used to watch them at the old ground, and saw them at the new one last season when they were celebrating promotion. I think they will become a yo-yo team like Levante and Numancia.
