  • Just bought my 500g box of Frosties for 81p in Tesco. That'll be something I can do on Weds when the schools are off then.

Has the 2 for 1 offer started already? I thought it was March but hopefully I am wrong.

Thanks for this. We're taking our little ones to Knowsley Safari Park next month for our DDs 3rd birthday so this is brilliant. In fact I just checked the cereal we had in the cupboard (Rice Krispies Multi-Grain Shapes) on the off-chance and it was a promotional pack! I'd bought them without even realising.

For thos of you wondering where you can use the vouchers I found this on the FAQ part of the site:

At which zoos can I redeem my ticket?

The free ticket can be redeemed at any of the following zoos (when accompanied by a full paying adult):-
Belfast Zoo, Chester Zoo, Colchester Zoo, Dublin Zoo, Edinburgh Zoo, Fota Wildlife Park, Paignton Zoo, Paradise Wildlife Park, Twycross Zoo, Woburn Safari Park, ZSL London Zoo, ZSL Wipsnade Zoo, Amazon World, Birdland, Birdworld, Blackpool Zoo Park, Blue Planet Aquarium, Camperdown Wildlife Centre, Curraghs Wildlife Park, Deep Sea World, Drayton Manor Theme Park, Dudley Zoological Gardens, Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, Exmoor Zoological Park, Highland Wildlife Park, Knowsley Safari Park, Lakeland Wildlife Oasis, Living Coasts, The Living Rainforest, Newquay Zoo, Raptor Foundation, Tropical World, West Midlands Safari Park, Wildwood Trust, WWT Slimbridge , WWT Arundel, WWT Castle Espie, WWT Martin Mere, WWT National Wetlands Centre, WWT Washington.

Thanks for the info. We went to Chester Zoo on Saturday and had a great day out. My family and our friends saved a tidy sum with the offer.
    something missing
  • No mention of the vital work zoo's do in ensuring species don't become extict, promoting awareness of diminishing habitats, capturing a young minds interest in animals that might lead to a lifetime of animal loving (maybe I need to shout about this in capitals?)

    well said :T:T:T

And Edinburgh Zoo being one of them and is fantastic place to go :D

thanks for the heads up everyone had a fun day adeep sea world would have grudged paying £44 for the 4 us £22 was much better:T

ps agree with above as far as zoos go especially Edinburgh how else can small people get to see different animals and appreciate them? if they don't take an interest then it doesn't matter what this generation does they'll just ignore it when it's their turn to look after it. They need to learn and at a young age just how diverse the world is and much as I'd love them to visit all the animals in their natural habitat in it just isn't going to happen(unless I win the lottery)okey off the soap box now and off to buy the lottery ticket:rolleyes:

  • And how many of us can take our kids to Africa to see animals in the wild then??

Granted that their are some bad zoo's, but UK zoo's are generally of a higher standard than our continental cousins.

  • I took my 5 year old and my mum and dad to Woburn safari park last week, we all had a great time, But try explaining monkeys doing ladies and gentleman on the bonnet of the car to a 5 year old.

Also if anyone else went last monday that was me that broke down in the monkey bit and had to have help from the park ranger, what a lovely person he was.
