Hi, If you only have 4 days you will love the place!I went with my 3 kids last August for 10 days and wish we had more time. This August we're going for 2 weeks. The desert safari is really good and the food is great.£3 gets you great food in the malls and the taxis are very cheap!I took £1000 for all of us and came back with change. You will truly love it out there-and want to go back!

Where did you stay and what malls did you go in? THe hotel im looking at has a free shuttle to the wafi mall which does sound good. Drink is expensive to my understanding

A good tip oft repeated on here is to use the duty free at Dubai arrivals and pick up a few bottles or crate of something cold for the hotel room....saves a packet.

If you're only going for 4 days i'd consider staying around Dubai Creek. Lots to do, you can walk around at night and visit the souks, museums, local restaurants etc..

Suggest you visit tripadvisor.com for loads of info - we went to Dubai for 3 days last year and are going back for 10 days this year - weather will be lovely in February.
£330 seems very cheap - which hotel and airline is that with?

Great price for 4 days, you could ask your agent how much a few extra nights will cost, we usually do this and this does not usually have any impact on the flight cost just the hotel .

Also check your flight times, often very cheap flights are at unpopular times. getting in at 6am leaving at just after midnight, this can be inconvenient as some hotels are strict about booking in and out, lots are fine.

Beach hotels are quite a way from the airport and taxi's while relativly cheap can mount up as there is not much to do round the hotels.

If it is not a beach hotel check that your booking includes breakfast and beach access, sometime these are stripped out of the price of discounted holidays and can add £20 to £30 per day to your costing.

February can be a bit cool last time we went in Feb i needed to wear a long sleave tee shirt over my top, especially in the evenings. It was one of the best time to go as you can really wander without frying.

    Have a great time.
  • I think Virgin holidays have a two for one offer on for February at £330 pp, as I got an email a few days ago. I went to Dubai twice last year and am planning to return again this summer.

I can't see it advertised on their website. I too got details in an email about their Valentine's 2 for 1 offers (which end tomorrow).
  • I got an email, as I'm a flying club member and am registered with the virgin site to receive offers etc. Sorry, I've deleted the email and can't find it. If I can find a link I'll post it :o)
