Hi Grateful for any comments!
About to join t mobile on 18 month contract which am happy with.
However £6.99 a month for mobile phone insurance for 18 months is nearly £126! This seems excessive all these add ons is where companies profits are made so....any suggestions....advice very much appreciated.
Thanks

I've got accidental damage cover and possessions away from home, in my home insurance, with Britannia Building Society, which they confirm covers me for my mobile. It's much cheaper than the O2 network's own insurance.0

I've just had to make a claim on my phone insurance. It has recently been provided by my bank on the royalties gold account. you have to register the phones imie? number and you're covered after 21 days of registering.
Verbally, they have confirmed they are going to settle in cash as they can't find a replacement (my phone is out of production).
Its included in the royalties package which costs £12 a month I beleive and give other good features too.
As Robellett, check your home insurance too, as mine covers phones as well but the excess was higher than the 'freebie'0 -
as said check if its not covered by home insurance, or if you have a premium bank account as a few of these include phone insurance, if not way i'd say to look at it is,
are you likely to loose your phone/had a history of breaking loosing phones?
is the phone worth £126 if you had to replace it (consider if you had to replace it with the same model by buying it on PAYG or ebay etc)?
would you need to replace it for the exact same phone if something happened? i.e. some people if they lost their handset would just be happy to buy a £30 phone to stick the sim card in and use till upgrade time.Yes Your Dukeiness0
