Boots Meal Deals and Cokes

That sounds great in principle but there's no way in the world i'd actually be cheeky enough to do it!
Mum said it was written quite clearly that you can't put it in a meal deal, knowing my luck i'd get a jobsworthy cashier who'd scrutinise the coupon to death, which is why i never use more than one coupon per transaction @ boots now as if i hand over any more i am paranoid that they will be rejected and i will be made to look rather embarrased!
Mind you the sandwiches are now restricted to the Retail Park and there are some right dozy cashiers there *one example is that just before christmas there was a dvd player cheap but you were only meant to get it at the reduced price if you spent over £30 on other things - i hadn't but they still let me have it cheap i didn't realise until id got home it was too late them!*my advantage_card is like gold dush0 -
Hello. Just wanted to say that I popped into Boots today for lunch (treat) and I decided to look at the small print because the innocent smoothies didn't have green stickers on the shelfs indicating they are part of the meal deal and lo and behold it said drinks and snacks can't be over £1.35
Shame about that, I liked those smoothies and the Boots ones aren't the same (at least the ones in the price range)Lurker extraordinaire! no. 4950

At my Boots in Teesside they are included in the deal they told me any drink at all. Did you get a green meal deal ?0
-
These should be included - they are in norwich boots but is a green deal0

I bought a red deal and they said I could have any drink ( had a tropicana for £1.25
In my branch (central london) green deals cost £3.30 and red £2.70 I think it was.
I normally get a sandwich £2.50 to £2.70
drink 99p - £1.25
cake £1.10
I spend £3.30. Is there anything else I can do to get a better deal other than the extra coke for 30p?
e.g. more sweets or crisps or a healthier drink!!All that glisters is not gold, except moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Yes - move up North meal deals are loads cheaper i.e. red deal £2.29!!
LOL
I have also noticed a wierd thing happens when you buy 2 meal deals i.e. it seems to count the stuff other than sandwiches e.g. crisps/drink off of one deal meaning that you only have to buy one lot of 'extras' to get the meal deal discount from both sandwiches. Its confusing - I have not quite worked out the best deal yet and it may depend on the order it goes through the till.Total for 2009: L'Oreal Lip Duo, Diary, Motability Guide
Thanks to everyone who post comps - you are all :cool2:0 -

hi there got a meal deal today and read small print. the small print says you cant get any snack over £1.35 but it says in big writing "any drink"0 -
so are innocent smoothies, if you can get them, included or not? people have been raving about them on the lush forum - also some other juices they sell, feelgood perhaps? apple and blackberry, orange and mango and orange and passionfruit apparently, never heard of them before - eastgate centre doesn't sell either drink product so i don't know how much they are or whether or not they're covered in the meal deal as eastgate centre doesn't do them anymore - i suppose it might make it more worthwhile paying £8 odd to get to the retail park food-stocking boots if i could get a £1+ smoothie with points on top!my advantage_card is like gold dush0
