Boots Meal Deals and Cokes

Just a quick post to say that I bought 2 meal deals with 2 cokes this afternoon. The 2 cokes went through the till first and were 2 for £1.29 and then the meal deals dropped off the total making it a total of £4.17 for 2 sandwiches, 2 drinks and 2 packets of crisps.

Just delete this if I am wrong as I haven't been to boots for some while, but, I'm sure that they are supposed to be dearer than that.

no you are right ive been doing that for ages I should have said. even if you buy 1 sandwich, crisps and 2 cokes it still works i.e you get both offers together (sorry should explain boots do coke 2 for £1.29 about every month or so)

although i must also say if you go for the green meal deal at £2.99 its much better i.e i get a £1.89 juice (i forget the name its like pure fruit, they have about 6 different kinds, a £1.10 carrot cake and a £2.50 or more sandwich all for £2.99 its great)

also in the new health and beauty magaizne in store you get 50 extra points on any sandwich purchase - you can use the voucher from this tuesday until september i think!

The advantage card machines are also giving out vouchers for the meal deals at the moment ranging from 25 points to 150. My boyfriends card always gets the 150 one so I use that which makes the meal deals super value!!!

DH gets 150 points for a meal deal, I get nothing! The meal deal here is £2.99 and £2.39, but I understand its more expensive down south. There are some lovely sandwiches in the £2.39 deal, or I sometimes choose the fruit salad, its very nice.
  • oh dear why did advantage_card have to see this?

boots sandwiches are most scrumptious but i hardly ever get to have them nowadays as i will NOT pay almost £8 in taxis to get safely to the Retail Park that stocks them nowadays.

Meal Deals are fantastic value, oen time i had to go on a course for six months and you had to bring your own lunch, i had a Meal Deal every single weekday for the length of that particular course as the branch i can walk to was sotcking them at the time but alas no more.

Ive got a coupon for either 50p off or 50pts *cant remember now* any pot of salad but not valid if put in a meal deal

PS i think the £1.89 fruit juice things may be called Innocent Smoothies - ive never put a *2 for £X* into a meal deal so i wouldn't know how that works.

You *could* save quite a bit by making your own packups, though.
  • suppose, but me likes me meal deals and me likes me points, shame me cant have either very much any more!

will probably have to beg my mother to take me in the car just to use this salad coupon i got in the mail the other day.

I think you probably make the marketing gurus at Boots very happy!

Head over to the OldStyle board some time and maybe we can give you some tips to make your packups at least as tasty as the ones from boots!
  • I don't think they'll be too fond of me at the moment because every single time i go in lately i seem to have one sort of points or discount coupon of another1

*wonders how she can scheme up a trip to the cinema so that then she can get her salad or meal deal?*

I think I would chance my arm here. I'd choose a busy lunchtime, buy the pot salad with my voucher plus a few other bits. Straight away Id go back to the till and say Id changed my mind and wanted a meal deal instead so would they mind refunding the salad and put through a meal deal instead, also handing over a sandwich points voucher form the mag (and maybe a points voucher from the machine if you can get an assisitant to go through with you!). LOL
