Squirrels in the loft! Help

Has anyone got any advice on keeping squirrels out of the loft........ We have a problem with them getting in whatever we do. The roof has been re done with cement infills under the tiles. Fascias have all been replaced and we have no idea how they keep getting in year after year. Poison has worked but we are not happy…

Get rid of any branches near house -find entrance & close off with sheet metal-they are usually out during the day feeding so close off during day - burning a sulphur candle in the loft will drive them out (can you buy these?) -be careful of fire. Mothballs thrown all over have the same effect & are safer. They dislike the odour & will move on.
Also applies to chipmunks!!!
