Hiya all my contract is due up with vodafone soon and will be switching to O2 due to fiance on them plus better phones, so i was wondering if anyone had ever had any joy asking for a better deal than advertised in the shops or online before signing up?
Due the shops/online have margins that they can move for new customers?

usually the best deal is gotten by going through retentions (ring up to cancel because you've seen x deal)
