think delivery reports are network dependent not handset so best of asking about o2 in title

Be aware as some networks are thinking about charging for delivery reports, google for more info.

Orange already does for some contracts. You don't get them from cpw O2 unless you prefix each message with code (unless that's changed). In any case you won't get them unless you alter the settings under messaging to receive them!
