Vouchers at Tesco - an exercise in frustration!!

i had the same problem on sat.(2/7/05), i took a few vouchers with me, and the girl spent five minutes reading every single one and at the end of it she only took one which was for 50p. i didnt kick a fuss up though. So maybe selected stores have changed their policy.0

a friend told me yesterday that she used the self scan at longton (near stoke on trent i think) and it let her use loads of coupons, about 75% off her bill.52% tight0

my local tesco have blocked up the holes in selfscan tills .They no longer accept coupons . Anyone else found this ? or is it a local thing0

CrazyChemist wrote:Gosh that's encouraging! Did you use any identical coupons? If not, where on earth did you find such a lot of [high value] coupons to use?!?!?!
And don't the customers behind you or the staff frown when you hand over a handful of vouchers? It happens to me sometimes
No identical coupons for the first shop but used 2 the same on the second shop (£1 off Alberto Balsam - bottle of shampoo or conditioner was 92p per bottle so got 2 x £1 off :beer: )
Most vouchers were from the "great vouchers by mail hunt" thread on here.
Made sure to go to a quiet till where no-one else was queining, no-one frowned at me either (Maybe it's just beginners luck
)

Am I supposed to trawl through the many many pages on the "Great Vouchers by Mail Hunt" or is there a collated list somewhere that I'm missing?

Post #267 might be a helpful shortcut in the Great Vouchers By Mail Hunt. Lindsay100 has come up with lots of links. Maybe worth checking again in a week or so to see how that one develops."By not unsettling men, you will reassure them. By unsettling men either through timidity or malice, you are always compelled to keep a knife in hand." - Niccolo Machiavelli, 1469-15270

Sigh. No offense, but this might be one of the reasons why Tescos Extra Longton are now being completely crappy about coupons and only accepting a couple per shop - 10%TOTAL including whether you buy the product or not. Went there today...will not be going back with coupons in a hurry! They do notice what goes on at the self-scans!! Maybe not in time to stop that individual shopper, but I believe it does have an impact on their overall policy towards coupons.0 -

Typical! That's the Tesco that I use for my coupons! :rolleyes: I have got a load of Zing coupons still to use and was planning a big shop next week! :mad: I'll have to try the Meir one instead.0
