How to get cash from the credit card with no fee?

Because the card company charges the business a percentage fee for credit card transactions, whereas it's a flat fee for debit cards. So, if you've just paid for your weekly shop on a debit card, the supermarket has already incurred the flat fee and they do not have to pay any extra to give you a fistful of cash.
As to *why* CC's are charged differently, one reason is that the CC company is jointly responsible with the retailer for the goods, so they have to insure against this and obviously the cost of doing so is roughly proportional to the value of the transaction.0 -
Thanks bluep. I'll give that a try once I've got my new 12 month interest free credit card from bank of scotland. As I see it, it would be equivilant to an interest free loan. Is it really that simple, or am I missing something?:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0

Thanks everybody for suggestions. The idea of paypal is interesting. Has anyone tried paypal this way before? I want to be sure that I wouldn't be charged a fee from the credit card issuer in doing this.0
