If you go to a concert in Milton Keynes Bowl it costs £2.50 for a 500ml bottle of water
and as they confiscate anything other than water and any bottles larger than 500mls at the gate they're making a killing.

I got my 1L bottle in by hideing it under my trouses hehe
I remember when this was just a little website! :money:

My local wholesalers sell the 500ml bottles for 49p each. And cans for 26p. Cheapest place I know for them. Pity my workplace cant sell them for the same price.

It was only £2 when I went. And we were warned with our tickets not to take anything except unopened bottles of water. Then there's a tap so you can refill them.

Are there any places to get a drink close by? So that you could popout on occasion to grab something?

Seems like a good business opportunity to me.

I worked for the company that used to distribute Perrier water in the UK. It was noticed that 200ml bottles were more expensive than 330ml! The reason given is that the target market was different. People would pick up a 330ml bottle in (e.g.) Boots with their lunchtime sandwich, but the 200ml was generally sold through restaurants or pubs, where people weren't watching the price. The law of supply and demand (or is it market forces? ).

My niece works part time in a restaurant, and the staff have been told they can help themselves to as much draught Coke as they want, as it only costs the restaurant 2p a glass!

I'm off for a weekend break soon, and have saved a screw-top bottle, that I will fill with either tap water or tap water plus cheap squash, for my journey!
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

  • poundland sells 6 bottles of water or fizy pop for £1 or homebargains is really cheap staring from 15p for a bottle of spaekaling flavoured water or can of pop like coke or lucozade

Homebargains used to do 500ml Pepsi / Coke for around the 39p mark, 500ml imported bottles. And they also had 500ml Virgin coke at 19p last time I looked :D

the problem is I don't visit the area in which the store is located every day and therefore sometimes get ripped off as I have to buy from somewhere remote.

i.e. today I thought "Drink of pop for train". £1.20 for 500ml Coke! Ouch!!!

But I didn't feel too bad as the money I save by buying loads at Homebargains whenever I visit easily cover the cost of emergency purchases!

Virgin coke isn't a patch on pepsi or coca cola though. My favourite is pepsi.

on my way into town a couple of days ago in search of pepsi I popped into a local corner shop.

found some pepsi but it was about 65p a can!

then I realised across the road is farmfoods where cans of pepsi cost 20p each if you buy five.

So five cans of unchilled pepsi for £1 or one can for 65p.

    hmmmm :)
