How long do you think the sale will actually last? I can't keep getting up at 5am to check for the bargains but I can't resist. I'll be going back to bed soon but I can never manage to get back to sleep. Still no ELC Doll's house though, think if I get that I may be able to stop getting up early!

I'm fed up of the holier than thou attitude posted on here by those who haven't got what they wanted. I didn't get anything today but wish luck to those who did, I also very very rarely get instore to Boots so don't bother with any instore glitches. It seems that some folks want others to ask their permission before ordering - perhaps you could post when you've got you wanted - we'll all just wait.

Don't post that often on this thread because it comes across as a very cliquey thread and will be staying away again now.

I sense a lot of frustration and dissent form Bootsers of late.
    • With the .com basket system (which IMO is frankly poor)
    • With SA's who refuse coupons (but IMO really are only doing their jobs - we may not know what their supervisors/managers are telling them  )
    • With other Bootsers for their reported 'stash' of goodies
This is the loveliest thread around here, with the nicest peeps :A but it makes for tricky reading some days of late. This probably isn't going to come out right but could we please all return to our pre-christmas/sale ways and post up help and advice for others, rather than the 'I got this' 'I got that' of late?
I love hearing of others successes usually, but the constant posts of others hoards isn't sitting right with me. (I think of the MSE'rs who are trying to make ends meet, counting the pennies, and who want maybe one of two of the bargains to make life easier, those housebound, those unable to get to their computer at this ungodly hour etc.)
Lets post up the bargains and glitches we ALL can take advantage of, and support each other in MONEYSAVING :T

NOTE: NOT aimed at anyone in particular so PLEASE don't take this personally. I just wanted to vent a little I guess.

    ;)
I hear what your saying and you're right to a degree. This is why I haven't posted which stuff in particular I've managed to get from the sale unless specifically asked (like just now with the psp & xbox). Especially so if I've managed to bag something that another MSE'r was/is after. Although I have to say that I much prefer to hear of an MSE'r getting these bargains then someone who is just doing this to sell on Ebay for a profit and let's face it for all of those who post on here how many other people from other sites or people who are lurking do you think are battling for the stock too?

Unfortunately there are lurkers on every site and eager Ebayers who prevent people from getting these deals.

I went to the 75% off sale and there was a guy who bought 20 (yes 20) Ruby Millie bags. It was pretty obvious what he was gonna do with them all.

Nothing we can do about it unless websites/companies/stores start clamping down on multiple purchases of items (which will never happen). i.e. only 1 Xbox 360 allowed per person etc.
  • also, do you think the 100points WYS £5 on 17 cosmetics mag voucher will work with reduced items? remember seeing loads of reduced 17 when i went last...
sorry more questions!!:o Does the highlighter def go through with the £1 tan wipe? (if its not reduced?) And as the tan wipes are on 3 for 2 could it possibly work out that id get 2 tan wipes plus highlighter for £1? Anyone tried this with the wipes? :)
if the facial skincare vouchers offer stops on 29th will i still get one on that day for spending over £5?
    just thought id re-ask :)
also is the 200 points wys £10 on certain toiletries just online?

I hear ya loud & clear, It can be a bit too much to see some people lists but on the other hand it gives you the nudge to get up early also, which i try have not been successful, but i'm still tryin, come on lets get back to the fun now, as i love reading the thread.

THANKS for all for the info on here -
  • sorry wrong quote-lol - too early

I wonder how Boots decide which orders get cancelled due to not enough stock being available for orders placed?
This is what I'm saying, but sometimes I think people are getting angry at other MSE'rs when we're probably only a fraction of the people who are up early to grab a bargain. I agree that Boots should limit sales to 1 per person on large items and say 3 on smaller gift sets.
