Please help me!! Something has gone badly wrong since i joined this site last year. I started out trying to save money as i felt i was paying too much for items that i truly needed, for example i needed to buy a new washing machine, and wanted to know where to get the best discount.

4 months on, and i find myself logging into this site, and boots site, and tescos EVERY MORNING, and am buying things that i dont really need because they are cheap, and am justifying it by saying that it will do for presents.
    :D
I honestly feel that i am in some way addicted, and instead of saving money, i am now spending more money than i ever have done!!!

what is making it worse , is that you boots threaders are soooooo lovely and seem to share in my addiction!!

are we all under a strange subliminal mse boots thread grip?
    YES :rotfl:
My DH saw where i hide my hauls this weekend for the first time and said i have obsessive compulsive boots disorder! and i have to stop as i don't use/need the stuff and don't ever use my points so what's the point. He said we have enough stuff to last us the next 5 years which is true but i can't help my self. It is addictive as when i go to do a deal or glitch i get nervous and excited then the buss when you pull it off you are on a high Oops that sounds bad think we will all be in rehab soon.
:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boys :)
Want to be fit for 30 not fat at 30
    but i want never gets!!!
  • Hi, sorry to repeat this, but it was one of the last posts on the other thread, so it's gna get lost then no1 can help me!

    Slimfast is currently on 342. Slimfast soups are 3x £1.20 (or £1.30) on 342 = £2.40 (or £2.60).
    1/2 Price for HC = £1.20 (£1.30) to pay for 3 soups, which makes it £0.40 (or £0.43) each.:D

Get 15 soups for £6.00 plus 100 AC points from the leaflet, makes them effectively £0.33 (if they are £1.30, get 12 for £5.85 plus 100 AC points = £0.40).

Some questions regarding this from the 1st page, any help would be appreciated.
Are slim fast shakes 1/2 price when a member of the health club? The ACM says I am, but I paid full price, I haven't tried soups yet. I can't remember if I recieved a voucher to scan instore?

Also will there be more stock of the 'Change one thing' booklets? I need more of the 100pointers!! trying to loose a few pounds!!
I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!

I had to stop myself logging on here for a while as I found that it wasn't MoneySaving anymore. I got more addicted to getting the points than what I had bought !

With regards to the poster who asked about taking toys back - I haven't taken online ones back but I did take back a Tellytubby and Winnie The Pooh toy that I'd bought last Tuesday with 75% off without the reciept and they gave me the full price refund - £24.99 and £14.99 - I kept quiet and bought my 5 packs nappies - a total bargain and will keep my little boy dry for some time ! :rotfl:
So little money - so much time

Me too perhaps we should start Boots Anonymous!

I hid my stash in the back of my large car and oh borrowed it the other day cane home to find a large haul of Boosting all over the kitchen floor.
'Look what I've found you, expect you'd forgotten about them!"

I have decided to strat using up the stash for me/gifts/raffles etc and only to get more if it's a real bargain eg 10p of free. if i stick to it shouls save money in the long run. Also joined the gym and as an incentive if I go 3 times a week i can use the lovely bubblies, enjoy them and reduce my haul!!

    Join me anyone?

Looks like only 4 soup varieties are on the half price health products list (Valid to Apr)
also the change 1 thing coupons expire on 29th Jan so maybe won't appear in stores if they have run out.
  • Thank you, I should have grabbed loads when I first saw them! need to diet!
