250 ml edt is the limit so no. I think UK customs have probably got more to concern themselves with than 4 bottles of perfume! If UK customs search/remove anything from your bag they leave you a note saying so.0

250ml is not a lot for EDT (some bottles can be 100ml+ each), so it is possible. UK customs should leave a note, but do not always. A friend's case was searched on the way back from NZ, and they confiscated 1000 cigarettes that he had tried to hide. He didn't know where they had gone until they wrote to him.
But you accept that it has nothing to do with the airline? They cannot stop the security forces doing anything with your luggage!Gone ... or have I?0 -
I had tsa locks but was advised not to lock the cases ,its only been small items that have gone missing but its annoying, wondered if it was because I had a scale to weigh the cases ,and this had a numbered dial that was also taken apart thats when I became suspicious checked the contents and found the pressies missing,0

I know it does seem a bit odd! I was just pee'd off because the cheeky !!!!!!s took the perfume out of the bag & left the receipt. No one wanted to accept responsibility saying "it happens in Las Vegas all the time"0

so you have your receipt, claim off your travel insurance.. at least you'd get some money back!0 -
You must use TSA Locks when travelling to the USA, OR you must leave your bags unlocked. There is simply no alternative to these options.
I have posted this information before and I have just done a check on this on the offical TSA website.
Copied from their site, the information is as follows:Please refrain from locking your checked baggage or use one of our accepted and recognised locks. If your baggage alarms and our Security Officers cannot gain access to your checked bag, unrecognized lock may be broken.
If you leave your bags unlocked I am not sure where this leaves you as far as insurance claims are concerned if something does go missing.
For the record, I got my locks from a website called http://www.tripneeds.com They seemed the cheapest at the time, but I haven't checked them recently because I have my locks. What I do know is that TSA locks are more expensive than normal ones so it is worth shopping around if you need to get them for all of your family.
I hope this helps.0
