Hi everyone, im looking for a cheap holiday for two adults to the maldives. Im looking to go all inclusive around the 11th-17th february for 7 days. I hope to fly from either gatwick airport or heathrow, if not, anywhere around that area. Could anyone give me some advice for the cheapest prices. I have had one quote so far off first choice for £2500 for the two of us.
Thanks,
Daf.
Thanks,
Daf.

that's half term week for some of the country so the prices will be high, can you go at another time?0

First of all, do you really need to go all inclusive? You need to consider how much you eat, drink etc, and if what you want to eat and drink will be included in the 'all inclusive' price.
On the two occasions I have been, I have gone bed and breakfast. I have never spent more than £200 whilst I have been there, and that has included all meals (at the premium restaurants), drinks and spa treatments.
Half term should not make a difference to the Maldives. It is not really a destination for children, and a long way to go when the kids would be due back at school the next day.
If you really want to do it on a budget, then Kuoni have plenty of offers to the Maldives, flying with Monarch. However, I flew with Monarch the first time I went there, and would never do it again.
Alternatively, you can pay extra and fly with Emirates ... it really is worth it.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Thanks for that dmg. I have looked at kuoni.co.uk but couldn't seem to find any prices to the maldives under my £2,500 all inclusive with first choice.0

Karamathi Village comes out under that if you click through the special offer listing (from the front page). Also there are a few online agents that will knock 5-10% off the quoted price.
Edit: £2456 leaving 10/02 or 17/02.
Alternatively, Adaaran Meedhapparu Island for £2396.Gone ... or have I?0 -

We booked just after New Year for 7 nights in the Maldives (Dhonveli) with Thompsons - full board - £750 each - that really was the cheapest I could find. The same hol with First Choice was £1250 each!!! Reviews on Trip Advisor are brill. Sorry to gloat!0 -
for the maldives I would reccomend full board as there is nowhere to eat apart from hotel. If you can survive from breakfast to dinner then half board will do but you will miss out on free drinks and the extra money is worth it.
The service there is second to none, the staff dont push for tips and are wonderful. There is little to do apart from snorkel, swim and watersports and sit on the beach. 7 days is perfect. We did 10 and it was a little too long.
If you want heaven on earth for a week then go for it.0 -
