I was in Boots Glasgow Fort and they had a basket full of the powder in peach only at the no 7 counter. There are a few items of reduced make up near the main tills, no tan wipes that I could see though!:money:
Money is only of any use if you can spend it!

  • I went to boots for my high lights illuminating powder, armed with the coupon from their own magazine,I found a one pound lip pallette (No7) went to the till, and was greeted with an assistant who went off to ask a manager about buying it with a reduced product, and was told NO our manager said thats not included in the offer because it's reduced,i felt annoyed,as i told the assistant, there is no minimum amount that you have to spend stated on the coupon, all they could say was no we can't sell you it.! Both me and my sister put our stuff down and left feeling a bit daft, I have now emailed boots to complain...after a hunt to find their email address....so lets see what happens.! Not very happy.

I went after work to get of these and my Boots had removed all the lower priced No 7 items off the shelf.

If they don't want people to use the voucher in this way then why didn't they just write something into the terms and conditions.

Couldn't find any No7 cheaper than £6.50 (wipes) in my boots, no tanning wipes. :( and no sale stuff either :(

Have a look at No7 accessories. They do an exfoliator sponge thingy (I've got one somewhere)I'm sure it was only about £3. You could get 2 and the high lights for £3

On the first couple of days of this offer you didn't have to buy any No7 items to get the freebie. The voucher scanned without a purchase:D

I've had some without a purchase and some with sale items. I've given most of them away though, just kept one of each shade for myself:D

Beate - I got my powder today for 50p from the Boots in Liverpool St Station without any hassle. But I think it depends on who you get at the till and whether they have an problems scanning the reduced clearance item. I did have problems earlier this lunchtime with the free Olbas tissue pack voucher that was printed from the Advantage machine...and the manager had to be called over to push the 59p through the till. ....until I read them out that the voucher is for ANY No.7 product, and could they get the manager please because I was not leaving. The manager finally did it on my £3.50 item (was the cheapest I could find but what the heck) and he said it is not supposed to be used with clearance items, to which I responded that they have to make their vouchers clearer then and frankly, as a customer I don't need that much hassle when I am trying to use a legit voucher.

Good on you Beate, I did the same, they tried to say that I am not allowed to use a discounted item (eyeshadow) for this offer but I pointed out that the voucher mentions ANY no.7 and did not specify whether on special offer or not.
    Customer power!:T

Yeah, I was THAT close to saying the magical words "Trading Standards", as any conditions for a voucher HAVE to be mentioned on it. Moomin, I must have walked straight past the 50p items but am not too fussed because I like my sponge thingy although I wouldn't have minded it being a little cheaper still.

  • :j I just got mine . It was the fourth Boots I had tried where they had some reduced items (Boots by Waitrose at Canary Wharf). They had the 50p Tan Towels but I went for a £2 lipstick. Paid at the self service tills. When I scanned the voucher it asked for supervisor's authorisation. I don't know whether this happens for all vouchers at self service tills or it was picking up on the reduced item. Anyway, she didn't even look in my bag and just let it through.:T
