I entered a picture of my son "scrummy jack" - you can search for it in 1 second and vote for it, but I dont' want to put my request in the wrong place and annoy people!
Thank

If someone realises that they have posted a duplicate, and have changed the title of their OP to say something like 'Please delete', should I PM a BG to let them know, or just leave it?
This is what I have been doing, and seen others do, but I don't want to offend anyone by doing it. Nor do I wish to spend comping time doing it if people think they should be just left for the BGs to pick up as they look through the board.
My thinking was that a PM saves BGs having to look through everything and is more efficient, given that we do that for merging, moving, etc.
I'd appreciate people's advice.Al Mac Appreciation Society No. 188

I can see the need for a PM if the title hasn't been changed, but since the BG's go through all the pages to move the closed ones to game over I would have thought they would see the 'please delete' ones.
We've never sent PM's for these before, until you started doing it (and posted a 'reminder' for everyone else to do it) If the BG's want to change the system to yours, I'm sure we'd all be happy to comply, but surely you'd be better asking them what they want us to do, than posting here to ask us ordinary folks?

Thanks. Yeah, I did PM as well. I've obviously been confused about this and thought others did it, too.:o

Just a couple of things I have been wondering since I started entering competitions:
1) Can you enter a competition to win a car if you don't actually drive? (I've noticed they sometimes say non-transferable or test drive required.) So if hypothetically I won a car, then said oh I don't drive but my OH is going to drive me around in it! then would I be disqualified?
2) With all the competitions to win family tickets, family holidays etc. - what if you don't have children, could you still use the tickets or whatever as a couple? (Although even if you could I think I'd feel bad entering those competitions, cos if I won I'd be taking the prize away from someone who could get more value out of it if they had kids.):j Feb2012: Getting back into comping! :j

1 - Depends on the T&Cs of the comp, but I wouldn't be able to tell you, from the ones that I have entered, how many specify you have to be a licensed driver.
2 - I go in for them, and have no kids! You'd get more room if you won and there were only two of you!:rotfl:
