PAYG Tariff Query

I don't know if anyone can help. I'm not normally so stupid but am bamboozled with all the info there is on mobile phones.
Can anyone please advise which company provides the best PAYG tariff or point me in the right direction? We have mobile phones, just need the sim cards. We want to use the same company possibly to reduce costs.
My dad doesn't use his mobile that much, just for emergencies. He texts the odd message to the family.
I use it moderately, a mixture of texts and phone calls,
My mum usually uses it the most, she prefers to ring rather than text.
Thanks in advance

It's not simply the tarrif that you need to consider but also the network coverage and quality where you want to use the mobiles. Have a look at the various operator websites e.g. here for more tarrif details and free SIM offers etc. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

If you go to the website of each of the networks you will find somewhere on the website a coverage map that will give you an idea of what the coverage should be like in your area. You will also find details of PAYG tariffs. The networks to look at are Tesco Mobile, Asda Mobile, O2, Vodafone, T-Mobile, 3, Virgin Mobile, Orange.
Once you have decided on a network you can have a look for free sim cards sometimes you can order up to 4 free sims at a time.
Check this thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=575213
Depending on which network you all decide on you will maybe have to get some or all of your phones unlocked from their present network if different, either by code or done at the local market.0 -
Sounds to me like Tesco could help you out here. It sounds like your dad might best suit the Tesco Value tariff. Ideal for the low user. You and your mum might find the new Standard Plus tariff of use. Go and check out Tesco Mobile's site.
Also, if you decide the Standard Plus tariff would be suitable get up to 4 free Tesco Mobile Standard Plus sim cards by checking out this thread. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=6886390 -

I think you will find Asda mobile is the best. 8p per minute all cross network and national minutes. 4p texts.
