Halifax Credit card/ credit agreement confusion.

    Yes, we know that, but the 'typical' rate is 9.9%. That's the one that 2/3 of their customers have to be offered.

    Well obviously if someone is not offered 9.9% they dont fall into the typical catagory..............
    Aiming to be debt free....but still off target

    Exactly, which is why I suggested the OP query it with Halifax if in fact their agreement reads 'Typical 15.9% APR' - that's not the typical rate.

    Just might be worth asking the question, that's all.

    I've checked my TC's and it states Typical 15.9%APR, also checked my wife TC's and her's state it's Typical 9.9%APR confusing or what..........
    Aiming to be debt free....but still off target

    Indeed, that sounds almost dodgy.. not every rate can be typical if it's for the same card, that goes against the whole concept of having a 'typical' APR in the first place...
