MSE big on flashing smilies

MSE seems to be very big on flashing smilies. A multitude of these appear to the right of the POST NEW THREAD box.

I have just culled about thirty of these using the Adblock adjunct to Firefox.

Very annoying!

Only if you choose to have them enabled for display in your user options.

:rotfl: ...... my [More] lists stops here . 30+ ..... bloody hell, I wish I could get that many, I only just managed to add a smilie site to my favourites, takes me ages if I use the in e-mail . There's just no pleasing some people , very pretty posts chaps.

Excellent, I had a mass culling of the little !!!!!!s today. It was real blood and carnage.

Adblock is a lovely weapon.

Personally, I find flashing and animated images very distracting. Adblock is a Firefox addon designed to kill adverts on webpages, but it is also useful for removing images - it works by right clicking on the image and selecting "adblock image".
