If you have read a few of my replies to threads. Do you think i am helpful? or trying to scare people?
I would be greatful for your replies. If I have mistakenly scared or upset people I will just leave the Bankruptcy Forum.

I don't think you are trying to scare people.
You are posting from, and basing your opinion on, a completely different perspective to most people on this forum. So a bit a disagreement at times seems only natural.
Personally, I appreciate your contributions.

I've always found your advice helpful. Its straight from the horses mouth and not just 'what i've been through stuff' that most of the posts on here are. (mostly mine) you also call a spade a spade.
You see many I & Es a day, we see one or two a week, and recently i've noticed that many of them are unwilling to bend or realise that with BR goes some responsibility. They want to keep their lives as they were pre BR, but without the costs and hassles of paying creditors.
You have to realise though A2C that many of us have really struggled by putting in a tight I & E (mine had more E than I and hasn't improved since) and we can only go on our own experiences and help others not go through the same as us.
It would also help-though this is NOT your fault- if the ORs were a little more consistant. One OR wanted a car valued at less than £100 on here, yet another allows one for over 1k, yet both these people needed their cars!
Anyway, i for one would love you to stick around and hope you will get similar support from others on here.
XThe first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0 -
Hi A2C,
A lot of what you post is really helpful, especially as it is 'from the dark side' so to speak.
There will always be differences of opinion on some things as this is a highly emotional board with some very strong personalities on it.
You may have to moderate your posts a bit as when some people come to this board they are extremely frightened and worried sick and probably haven't slept in weeks so we tend to have a softly, softly approach and try to get any harsh points across as gently as possible but as you have seen it amazing to watch how some people come out their shells and are ready to face this big beast called bankruptcy.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -

Keep up the good work A2C!
I personally find your posts informative and to the point. Yes, sometimes what you say is a little scary as it's like i'm talking to the OR himself  but then I would rather find out what might happen and not bury my head in the sand. That's what got me bankrupt in the first place.
I found your help very good when I was putting together my I&E.
Don't worry, at least you know what you're talking about..

Thanks for replies, i will stick around and try word my replies a bit more gently. I do understand that BR is very stresssfull and upsetting. Thats the reason i am on here trying to help, spending my own free time posting replies.
I find it difficult sometimes to word things that i know people will not want to hear. In another thread i thought i made it very clear that it was very unlikely that the 'worst case scenario' would happen, but i thought i would be empowering the OP by letting her know.
I totally agree there shoudl be more consistency from OR's offices, esp with regard to treatment of motor vehicles and IPA's.0 -
I hope someone hasn't had a go at you A2C... You have even got your own nickname, so it proves how much we love you (and your advice) x
Bankruptcy is hard and a lot of people view it with rose tinted spectacles... you may help yourself to word things a little more light heartedly, but at the end of the day, you are you and as far as I am concerned you shouldn't change. I don't think you are offensive..BSC Member 155

I understood what you meant and the context of it. I think it was just one of those cases where someone worrying latches on to the bad bits because that is what they are expecting/dreading.
Happens quite often on forums like this whoever is posting.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Personally I prefer the cold hard facts and don't find your posts harsh or scary A2C. Bankruptcy can be really scary, at least the prospect of it but still it's best to know the truth in factual terms.0
