am I deluding myself in thinking nectar points are good?!
Reading the original post makes them sound really crap. I've just applied for the Amex card purely for Nectar points.
However, I spend all my nectar points on cinema tickets. For me this works out to be the best value (and I live outside of london...so 1 ticket = 1000points). If I spent 1000 points at sains, that would give me £5. But 1 cinema ticket costs me £7.20. So in effect I'm getting an extra £2.20 out of my 1000 points.0 -
Think I'm better sticking with my Boots points, as this Nectar scheme sounds like it is going down the pan rather quickly - although I do wish Boots would send me better, more useful, coupons in the mail!my advantage_card is like gold dush0

The Nectar Amex card is really only worth having for use at Nectar stores (where you get double the points) but it seems pretty reasonable for that use.Two Ways to Live

We currently have a Sainsburys Visa card (and had one way before Nectar came along) and they've just cut the points to a miserly 1 point per £2 spent in Sainsburys and 1 point per £5 elsewhere (including Debenhams and other Nectar partners).
We shop at both Sainsburys and Tesco so it makes sense to have both loyalty cards but at these earning rates we're going to jump to Amex.
Have planned to get a Tesco credit card for our main 'elsewhere' spending - does anyone know if they do extended interest free deals so I can Stooze it first ?I'd be happier on holiday in Brittany than being at work !0 -
So is there anywa easy way to convert my 30,000 nectar points into something worth something? (rewards wise?)0
