Hope this is better for you now SS?

Contigency plans? well, I am looking on Rightmove for unfurnished (preferably long term let) properties - not many around - also need to check whether they will accept HB payments, how much deposit needed etc, also Gemmzie suggested an ABC bond earlier which I will lokk into on Monday.

But need strong men, a van and somewhere to store my belongings (as listed in a previous post) if I can't find somewhere straight away.

I know this has probably been asked before but I take you are getting all you are entitled to? How could/would this be affected if you have to move? (sorry I don't even know what accomadation you're in now, told you I was clueless on housing  ).

OK so you might need to store your stuff. How much is this gonna cost and how much have you got?

MOT - you have something of more value than most people I know and thats the love and support of your lovely children who so obviously adore you and also the love and support of I-T.

You are indeed a wealthy lady. All you need now is a bit of support through the next few weeks to get out of this situation that you have found yourself in - through no wrong doing on your part. The council may not want to help, but everyone on this board does. I was so pleased to hear that you would accept everyones help it takes a very proud person to be able to do that - and whilst I appreciate it must be difficult to accept the kindness offered to you by complete strangers, no one if forcing our hands. My mother always taught me that in life you have to do whats right and even if that means doing something for a complete stranger, if its right and it feels right in helping then we must help. Believe me - I think I can speak for a lot of people on this board - by us helping you out with even the tiniest of contributions whether it be financially or a helping hand - we will get as much pleasure out of being able to help as you will knowing that you have such good friends behind you.

Take care - lots of love, n hugs to you and your family.

I will keep checking back on this thread to find out how we can help.

Mot I've just been searching for rental properties in Hemel hempstead to give me an Idea of what your up against. To be honest I just googled :) As someone who is very lucky to live in a council propert in a village where their isn't a tremendously long council wait for houses, I can't believe the rental prices per month in your area.I'm feeling very lucky and very humble tonight in my home and will never take it for granted EVER.I wish you every success in your search.

I am arranging an appt with CAB at my Drs surgery next week to get a benefits check. At the moment we are in HA accomodation through the council paying £141.02 a week for a 1 bed flat:eek: although HB pay £66.71 towards it at the moment. I have seen a 3 bed mid terrace ex council property on Rightmove for £875 a month (cheapest I can find) so will need to find out how much HB would pay towards that (do I just ring them up to find out?). I am storing the rest of furniture at the moment in 5 containers with a removal firm and they are charging me a minimum of £235 per month (depends on how many days in the month) as for moving - well the things from here could possibly be moved for free if I can get some help, but the rest of my stuff from the containers will cost approx £950 - £1000 to get back out and into the new property:eek: . I have nothing at the moment apart from £30 in my purse to last me til next Friday:confused:
