I have donated my old Orange mobile to my parents just for emergencies.
If i top up with minimum £5 how often will they need to make a call to keep the phone active & not lose money.

One call in or out every 60 days (Could be 90, but the can be a bit trigger happy when disconnecting) easiest way is to ring the mobile off the landline, answer it and then hang up. I remind my auntie (78) to do it on the first of every month.0

It's actually one chargeable 'event' or top up every six months. A chargeable 'event' is making a short call or sending a text message. If you don't Orange 'reserve the right' to disconnect.mcdelarich wrote: »One call in or out every 60 days
It used to include incoming calls but they have now stopped those being counted.
To be safe, get them to ring a landline and then hang up as soon as it is answered. Cost, about 10p every six months.0 -

It pays not to guess, their T&C clearly state 6 months
What evidence do you have they dont stick to their disconnection policy,or is this another guess.:D0
