Floss2's Riding Into The Sunset.......

Well, I'm feeling a little disillusioned at the moment......

I'm lucky enough to be virtually debt-free, apart from an overdraft

I've seen a lot of you guys clear debts both big & small :T

However, after MoT's unsuccessful appeal yesterday, I feel a little bit "my work here is done" :o

MoT & a few of the others from her support gang have made contact with each other outside of MSE, so I am going to hang up my DFW helper's boots & devote my working hours to my employer's IT systems instead of MSE Martin's :money:

I will still pop on & take a look now & again, but I probably won't post so much advice / helpful stuff / rubbish / waffle / total codswallop (delete as required) ;)

Love to all and keep on debt-busting

Floss xx

Erm, 'scuse me where do you think your off too. If you think that your off riding into the sunset Missy then you'll have to drag me along as 'll be hanging off the proverbial horses, proverbial tail.

If that doesn't work how about some direct emotional blackmail......

    Hi Floss

I think the support you have given MoT has been amazing and you've done a fabulous job.

I have to agree with you that I'm feeling of a similar vein recently and I've been thinking about it quite a bit.

Now I'm debt free, I don't feel I have much that is particularly useful or contructive or indeed 'different' to offer - advice I can give is often the same as others. I don't have any goals to fulfil DFW wise and I'm hopping on and off the board all day just browsing when I should be working.

Maybe it's also time for me to bow out. Who knows.

Yup, and I really need to stop before I get into bother!!

The thing I have learned about this particular board is the people all share a common thread, either the journey of becoming debt free or learning from those who have already done it.

I hope you wont disappear completely into the background as you will still have much to offer.

Are you both trying to make my head blow up, we need you, your advice is fantastic, ok take a (v. short break:D ) if necessary but this place won't be the same without you both.

Also DFW's need to know that the advice and support here works by getting people like yourselves debt free or very nearly.

and apart from that I'll miss you both.

It's hard sometimes to feel we're of any use to the folks here. I'm debt free too, have been for a year now, and as time goes on I feel less and less helpful.

Obviously I don't have any debt goals but I do have other goals and find the challenges helpful. I don't really fit in on the MFW board because I don't have a mortgage, I'm saving to buy a house while renting, so rather than be mortgage free in x years i'll be rent free if that makes any sense.

Take a break but do remember you have friends here who just like to hear that you're ok and to know what you're up to. So don't forget to pop in and say hi from time to time will you.

The DF's are a vital part of the DFW's. Why? Because how in the depths of despair, can anyone aspire to the light at the end of the tunnel when there is nobody around who got there?

It's a touch like the scene in Logan's Run when Michael York realises that although there are people who apparently "win the game of Carousel", there are still no over 30's around.

And that leads him to believe the game of Carousel is a sham.

That's why the DF's are important.
