  • I am desperate for any wooden pallets as I recycle them for my garden projects if there is anyone who lives near dorset who has pallets they dont want I would be more than happy to take them away as long as they are free ones and in relative good condition

My neighbour gets them from work and uses them to make all sorts of edgings for paths and garden borders, compost bins etc.

Just a thought, does anyone know if British pallets are treated with any chemicals that would make them unsafe for use with garden projects? Growing vegetables etc?

I believe there's a coding system, and I can't remember where I've seen it. Some pallets are treated for international trade (to prevent biological infections). I'd like to know myself, so if I find the reference in the next couple of days I'll be back to post it.
