Hope I'm not stating the obvious here...
Not all all! I'm grateful for all suggestions. I does really bug me that it's a good resource going to waste.
Not sure about the teenager with an axeand we did try to sell them back to the people we buy our from but they are not interested. Our surpless ones are not an appropriate size apparently
Sorry, but we are the other end of the country or you'd be very welcome to a non stop supply!
Thanks Poppy cat I did ask on freecycle and got no response - having said that I've advertised things on there before and got no response the first time and 6 replies the second time. I'll try again and sell it a bit more by including the suggestions here!0 -

Sadly not, I am in the South West, who quite frankly should be more into this kind of thing if you ask me
I can't see anything similar locally having googled, which is a shame as it looks like a brilliant scheme even HM prisons are getting in on the act0 -
Yes!! I got an old wooden gym horse from the prison - the kind that is in sections that stack on top of each other. It is now six raised beds down at my allotment!0

Whereabouts in the South West??
PM me if you don't want to post your location here. I know loads of people who would probably have them for firewood.
In fact I have given them to our local scrap yard for stacking copper/aluminium bales on.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0 -
I would think that freecycle could get rid of the lot easily.
Wish I was near you, I'd have loadsFreedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

have you been in touch with the Bristol Wood Recycling Project? Don't know how far from Bristol you are, but if they're not interested they may know someone who is.Signature removed for peace of mind0

Our deck has a pallet base (laid them out like a jigsaw!) with seasoned timber on top! Lasting fine so far.
Had a 'proper' one before but it rotted after a good few years, so we've gone for the free pallett one this time. Can't be bad!
