Incapacity Benefit not paid! help

I've had similar stuff happen. They post out a form for me to fill in, wait three months, then I find out they've stopped my benefit when I phone to ask if there's been a problem paying it into my bank account.
It'd be more sensible if they sent it, gave you a month, then sent a reminder, no? Not sure in what way you're ill, but the added stress of (a) having no money for however long it takes to sort this out and (b) actually having to do all the chasing doesn't help a person at all. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -

About your post #12 about IB50's-
"It'd be more sensible if they sent it, gave you a month, then sent a reminder, no?"
But that's exactly what does happen- 28 days after the IB50's sent, a reminder form IB53 is sent allowing a further 2 weeks to return the IB50.0 -
guys
really sorry to hear about your problems, but can i just make this point.
IB/IS claims are the customers, DWP just maintain them & the onus is the customer to keep details upto date & to check any changes notified are rec'd/actioned.
the cust is pd for 6 weeks after the legal entitlement to the benefit has expired before benefit suspended & then another letter issd explaining why benefit suspended asking for the info to get the claim de-suspended with another 4 weeks allowed to reply before claim closed. when provided WE pay all the money owed.
would an employer continue 2 pay wages for 6 weeks if no contact from employee & if they stopped pymts would they then pay for the 10 weeks when employee got in contact? got to take the responsibility & stop blaming staff.
sorry but this is something i hear every day & regular calls to the processing centre by customers would solve a lot of problems. we are hear to help, but we have to abide by the legislation.

How would she evenknow that there was a form to fill in when they are sending it to the wrong address
Address should ALWAYS be checked as a form of security!!:heartpuls baby no3 due 16th November :heartpulsTEAM YELLOWDFD 16/6/10"Shut your gob! Or I'll come round your houses and stamp on all your toys" The ONE, the ONLY, the LEGENDARY Gene Hunt :heart2:0 -
I bet you didn't get a sorry
I'm pleased you got some money for food0 -
journ- Why do you assume it was JCP's fault?
electraleigh said they sent JCP a letter to notify the change of address. I don't doubt that. However, who says JCP ever got the letter?
In this case, both electraleigh, and JCP both assumed each other got the letters that had been sent.
Unlike the Pony Express- the Royal Mail doesn't always get through.0 -
You should have received a letter in February 2007, advising you of the new rates starting in April. Why didn't you check then?electraleigh wrote: »I said is it xxxxx address? and she said yes, I said I moved from there and informed you in november 2006!!! eek
Why didn't you ask for your mail to be forwarded?0 -

Ah, ok. Well, I've received neither the original nor the reminded on several occasions. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
my mother in laws wasn't paid last week either. She got straight onto them. Her's was something to do with this shake up with some people can go out there and work. Unfortunately for my mother in law it's a NO NO all the way.
Went to the doctors and confirmed who backed her up all the way . Pretty much sorted out within a couple of days.:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0
