Problem with postage and seller

Just had an e-mail from a seller who I bought an item off, saying the first class post cost more than he had charged so he posted it 2nd class. And is this OK? I paid for 1st class as that was what was listed in the auction, is it up to him to pay the diff. I have done this before and have learnt now to check the weight.…

I did the opposite once - I sold an old suit and had no idea how much it would cost to send, so I used others' listings at a guide - I parcelled it all up just before the listing ended and found it was way less than I thought - so I emailed the buyer and told them to wait for a new invoice from me, as the postage wouldn't cost as much.

They were chuffed to bits about it too.
