Mobile GPRS
Options
Ok, odd question time.
I want a gprs provider, but I only need to send a maximum of 111 kB/day
What is my cheapest option?! The problem is those few tiny bites might be spread out over lots of hours, I've seen the offerings of a maximum of £1 per day on orange and t mobile payg.
Any thoughts here?

GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) Does not work like the old WAP system (Circuit Switch Data) where you are charged per minute. With GPRS you are charged for data transfer. The average PayG price is £4 per MB, so it you are transferring 111Kb per day that would on average be 3.25MB, which would be around £13 in a month, if that is all the SIM is being used for then a PayG SIM is worth sticking with. If you are using mins and messages as well, it's worth looking at a Pay Monthly as a 4Mb bundle would cost No more that £4. Like I said, it depends on your voice and text usage, but hope the pricing info helps out.0

You could consider a PAYG O2 ONLINE* Sim card, where you get 1Mb free per month. From memory, I think they then charge £2.35 per additional Mb. They round usage upto the next Kb.
Otherwise, the O2 monthly services are charged in a similar way, and Online* users get 1Mb free per month.
*Online means where ordered via the O2 website, and with billing and account servicing done online too. https://www.o2.co.uk0 -

depending on what network the OP is on but both Orange and I think O2 offer 4MB bundles for £4 to avoid paying the per MB charges. Just text 'World 4' to 6610 to activate them0
