the "system" is quite simple.. only eat when you are hungry and stop when you are full.. you have to chew each mouthful of food around 20 times and enjoy every mouthful.. put your knife and fork down between each mouthful and always leave something on your plate.. the mind programming didnt work for me coz i cant switch off enough! hope this helps!

Paul McKenna dumped by partner on live TV
Hypnotist Paul McKenna has been dumped by his girlfriend - on live TV.
Ex-model Liz Fuller texted him to ask him to watch her show on Auction World.
But when he tuned in, she told him it was over - and then branded him "emotionally inadequate", says The Sun.
During a sale of engagement rings, she turned to the camera and told her boyfriend she was leaving him. As she closed the bidding on one item, she said: "Going, going, gone - like you."
Fuller, who appeared to wipe a tear, had dated McKenna for a relatively short time and they enjoyed a string of holidays.
She said: "I suddenly thought why am I going out with this man? He's nice but doesn't know how to relate to me or deal with me on an emotional level.
"I've tried to tell him it's not working and I don't think he's got the message. He will now."Ex forum ambassador

I'm trained as a clinical hypnotherapist and have listened to a lot of Paul Mc Kenna recordings for research.
He has some good techniques but some of his style is (to my taste) rather patronising, and that does stop me from really 'getting into' his stuff and taking it seriously.
Losing weight is as easy as putting it on... you just need to eat less calories than you use in a day. If you're really active you get to eat more than someone who works in an office and doesn't stray further than the coffee machine and the loo
Have a look on the weight loss threads, try that for a couple of months and see how you go...you may find it easier doing it with others on here.
Also ask yourself a few questions -
Who are you doing this for? (Really. Is it for your partner, friends, or for YOU?)
What will you GAIN by losing excess weight? (what are all the benefits to you, physical, emotional, financial?)
What will you LOSE? (think carefully here... there have been instances where rocky relationships have failed when one partner loses or gains weight. And consider your friendships...do you have friends that secretly sabotage you? You need support!)
What do you want to achieve, and by when? (Set yourself an ACHIEVABLE goal, and recognise you're only human too. If you fall off, get back on again, learn from your mistakes and come up with a strategy to avoid doing it again...)
What do you do to sabotage yourself? (what happened in the past...what made you fail and succeed? What worked?)
And when you've done all that pat yourself on the back and have a glass of wine!!
YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! :A
And finally remember...
How do you eat an elephant?
One bite at a time. With ketchup! :rotfl:If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got.

I bought this book and cd last year and it didn't help at all. Every time I listened to the cd I fell asleep after a few minutes of listening to his droning on. Also I didn't have the willpower to follow his advice.
Btw, I love QVC!:smileyhea "here, hare, here" :smileyhea0 -
i used the stop smoking without putting on any weight last year, ive just celebrated my 1st anniversary as a reformed smoker,it seemed a bit silly when i was doing it,but just open your mind to it,and be prepared for some will power aswell as the book doesnt do it for you,you do....work permit granted!0

I'd suggest trying the free trance download on his website and see if you like his voice and style. A lot of people swear by Glenn Harrold but his voice grates on me so badly I just can't listen to more than a few minutes and certainly can't go into a trance. Paul McKenna, on the other hand, suits me just fine and I lost 5 stone after watching his tv programme on Sky 3.
I agree that most of the things he says seem like common sense but it's amazing how many people haven't thought of some of them and I also feel that his use of NLP to teach it all is very good for getting it into the bit of the brain where it actually sticks ad starts to work.
I was fine for about 6 months til a had a couple of major disasters and gave in to comfort eating and have now put it all back on. The difference though, is I now know I can do it and it doesn't have to be stressful. Even at my current weight, I'm not bothered and am planning on starting again in about a month - when I have cleared the spare room and have somewhere peaceful to listen to the cds without my Dad interrupting me!a wombling we will go...0 -
Hi
My mum used his weightloss cd's and even went to his seminar too. She lost alot of weight (3-4 stone) using it and continues to use it now 2-3yrs later.
I think it depends on what your issues with weight are. For example I know I'm an emotional eater so I find his techniques work for me, as did my mum. So I would recommend his stuff
