Texting abroad from UK, orange and 02

I have 2 contract phones, both with inclusive text messages to UK.

I seem to remember that 02 allow inclusive txt messages to be used to count towards the cost of sending a text overseas, i think it was 3 uk texts for 1 text to USA/Canada. Can anyone confirm if this is still the case?

Also orange seem to have provided conflicting information, one customer services advisor said that it was covered in the inclusive texts, and the other said it wasn't. Can anyone shed some light here?

I've sent them both an email query and tried calling to no avail.....can anyone here help?

with o2 it is 16p (12p with its) to send a txt abroad
you can only use inclusive texts if you are abroad and texting back to the uk (it uses 4 texts from bundle) if you hav no texts left in bundle its 25p per text

orange dont include texts send abroad in the inclusive bundle, I think they charge 20p a text. I send lots of texts to the usa and use smsbug, it uses you wap access and costs about 2p a text

i think its orange is 19p per text on contract or 20p if your on PAYG
    Yes Your Dukeiness :D
  • I've looked into this as most of my phone calls and texts are to Sweden.

I couldn't get any good deals on contract, so I now have 2 phones.... my contract for normal use, and a PAYG phone with one of those 02 genie sims. I bought a bolt on for £5 and I get 10p texts and 30p per min phone call.#

I'm due an upgrade next month, so if anyone knows of any deals on contract that I haven't managed to uncover, I'd be grateful too!
